What is a balanced diet? How to eat healthy diet?

"Breast milk is the best source of nutrition for infants. It contains all four essential groups of nutrients: starch, sugar, protein and fats.  — helping children develop comprehensively. People also rely on the nutrition in breast milk to make formula milk. Formula milk always contains all four main nutrient groups: starch, sugar, protein and fats.

Therefore, to maintain a healthy body, we also need to supplement these four important groups of nutrients in our daily diet." However, most people today have an imbalance in their diet between these four important nutrient groups.

"A balanced diet is when the body is provided with all four main nutrient groups: starch, sugar, protein and fats — in the right proportions to ensure health and energy."

Starch 25%

Sugar 25%

Protein 25%

Fats 25%

Fats and proteins are hot energy sources

Sugars and starches are cold energy sources

"These four groups of substances are all important sources of energy for the body. If any one of these substances is lacking, the body will not have enough energy to function, leading to weakness and potentially causing serious health problems."

What is the role of the 4 basic nutrient groups in the body

1. Starch

Starch is the main source of energy to nourish the brain. However, if you eat too much starch, the body will convert the excess into excess fat, which can cause weight gain and easily lead to health problems such as visceral fat and obesity.

2. Sugar

Sugar is a substance that helps cool the body ,  helps regulate body temperature and is also the brain's main source of energy. Glucose – a simple sugar – plays an important role in maintaining alertness, focus, and the activity of nerve cells."ntration and nerve cell activity. A lack of sugar in the brain can lead to neurological impairments, such as confusion, dizziness, difficulty concentrating, and in severe cases, loss of consciousness or seizures."

Sugar is a coolant: When your body temperature rises after exercising or working in the heat, your body uses up a lot of energy and water. During this time, sugar (glucose) – especially from fruit, juice, or foods containing carbohydrates – provides quick energy, aids in recovery, and regulates body temperature.

3. Protein

Protein plays an important role in nourishing and regenerating the bone marrow, which produces blood cells such as red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Protein is materials to maintain bone marrow function and support the immune system.

If you eat a diet lacking in protein, your body will not have enough  materials to create red blood cells, leading to anemia. However, many people eat a lot of protein – even in excess – but still suffer from anemia due to eating the wrong way.

When eating too much protein incorrectly, the amount of protein may not be effectively metabolized to create blood, but instead focuses on nourishing muscles or accumulating excess energy, causing the body to gain weight, especially fat, and easily causing nutritional imbalance.

Protein should only be supplemented in sufficient amounts each day according to the body's needs. If you eat too much protein, especially protein from animal sources, for a long time and eat it incorrectly, your body will face many health risks such as: burden on the kidneys, metabolic disorders, overweight, and can even increase the risk of chronic diseases, including cancer.

4. Fat

Fats play an important role in maintaining body temperature. When the body is warm enough, new cells can be created every day to replace old, damaged cells. Maintaining a stable body temperature also helps the body's metabolic processes to function normally.

Example: "If your body has poor resistance to cold, adding more fat can improve your ability to withstand cold temperatures. Fat creates a thicker layer of insulation under the skin, which helps conserve heat and maintain body warmth."
