I healed my dry lips with good fats

The problem of dry lips, chapped lips, cracked lips makes us feel uncomfortable, all the dryness is due to lack of water to moisturize the skin.


I often have dry lips, and in the cold season my lips are even drier. Although I have used many lip balms, they still do not work effectively.

I know that dry lips are caused by drinking little water, so I drink a lot of water every day but my lips are still dry. It also causes me to urinate frequently.

Later I found out that chapped or dry lips are caused by dehydration. But to retain water, the body must have enough fat. Fat can be said to contribute to keeping you warm. When the body does not have enough fat, especially in the cold season, the body temperature will decrease. The brain will automatically release water to keep the body warm, because water has a cooling effect, it will lower the body temperature.

If you do not have enough fat, no matter how much water you drink, you will pee it all out and your body will still be dehydrated. Eat more fat at night, fat will help retain water. Let's add good fats to your diet such as olive oil, macadamia oil, coconut oil, ....
When you know that the cause of dry lips is due to lack of fat to retain water, you will not need to spend money on lip balms anymore.
